At Long Last, The Wizard Charter Is Released!

Lots of things have happened to clutter my progress on the third book of the Strings of Empire series, but I finally emerged from hibernation with The Wizard Charter now on Amazon. The link is here.

The blurb:

Quint plunges into Kippun, a country of warlord fiefs. Quint has experienced chaos before, but Kippun nearly defines it. Quint risks all as he tries to gain the confidence of a warlord to gain more experience to carry out his ultimate mission by uniting the wizards in the warlord’s fief. But Quint helps foment a war, instead.

The cover:

The blurb tells most of what The Wizard Charter is all about. Quint enters Shimato fief in the ‘country’ of Kippun. He is trying to gain experience to help him with his mission and that experience is likely to take years. Kippun is a collection of fiefs ruled by warlords and Quint has to navigate through all the craziness that entails. There are battles and betrayals galore. In Quint’s last year as a teenager, he will have to toughen up.

I portrayed Kippun, Slinnon, and Pokogon as polennese-influenced countries. Polennese culture is borrowed from Asians, consider it benign cultural appropriation. That means there will be phony Japanese-ish names. I hope I didn’t make up a name that means something unpleasant in Japanese.

Enjoy reading The Wizard Charter.
