Really looking forward to getting to this book! I am mostly through Wizard’s Chalice and I keep coming to the same question. What is the difference between a Wizard, a Magician, and a Sorcerer? Did I miss this somewhere or does it get better explained in a later book?

Your answer can be found in the Author’s Notes in Book 1 of the series. Here is an excerpt: “A word about the terms magician, sorcerer, and wizard. I have given them different connotations in this book. Magician is the common term for anyone who can perform magic. A sorcerer is a magician who uses magic for personal gain, and the term is somewhat derogatory. A wizard is a high-level magician who generally is the prime magician for a country or a fief. The wizard’swar in the book is caused by wizards who desire to take over countries and run them, uniting to dethrone the kings on the continent of Atto. Sorcerers are the wizard’s magical minions, and magicians are those magic-users who fight against the wizards. Gags is a magician.”
